What is entity disambiguation?
It is the work of deciding which entity a name refers to when several entities share that name. Structured data helps when the page carries identifiers that do not belong to the others.
What does Google document?
Google uses structured data to understand page content and to gather information about people, books, companies and other objects mentioned in markup. Two organisations with the same trading name are not one organisation if their sameAs sets point at different official records.
What is this based on?
Because explicit identifiers and types are the documented way markup removes ambiguity. There is no separate Search Console report named “disambiguation.” The use is still covered by the purpose statement.
What does not follow?
A correct sameAs does not create a Knowledge Panel or a Knowledge Graph node. Markup states the claim. Grounding requires a match outside the site.
