There is no current general Google promise that schema improves voice search.

Structured data alone is not a load-bearing voice-SEO lever. Speakable and related types exist; a general visibility claim does not.

Structured data alone is not a load-bearing voice-SEO lever. Speakable and related types exist; a general visibility claim does not.

What exists, narrowly?

Google has documented types and properties aimed at spoken surfaces in the past. Those documents are feature-specific. They are not a standing promise that FAQ, HowTo or Article markup will be read aloud, or that a page will be selected as a voice answer because it has an ld+json block.

What is this based on?

There is no general, current Google commitment that schema markup leads to better voice-search presence.

What should you do instead?

Write the answer in the delivered HTML. Keep the entity unambiguous. If a spoken-result type is still in the live feature list and the page is actually that type, mark it up. Do not invent a voice-SEO programme on top of markup Google does not currently attach to voice surfaces.
