The space a listing occupies once extra elements exist. It is a consequence of a shown rich result, not a separate ranking bonus.
What does Google document?
The features that consume extra space are the supported rich results. When Google retires a display, the space goes with it. The June 2025 simplification is the reminder.
What is this based on?
Because enhanced displays are documented to add elements that take room a plain blue link does not take.
What does not follow?
More space is not more authority. A listing that already answers the query on the results page can occupy more pixels and still receive fewer clicks.
